VIII. Switch action
For your safety, this tool is equipped with lock-off lever which prevents the tool from unintended starting. NEVER use the tool if it runs
WARNING:
when you simply pull the switch trigger without pressing the lock-off lever. Return the tool to our authorized service center for proper
repairs BEFORE further usage.
WARNING:
NEVER tape down or defeat purpose and function of lock-off lever.
Before installing the battery cartridge into the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position
when released.
NOTICE : Do not pull the switch trigger hard without pressing the lock-off lever. This can cause switch breakage.
To prevent the switch trigger from being accidentally pulled, a lock-off lever
is provided. To start the tool, depress the lock-off lever and pull the switch
trigger. The power tool will starting running in maximal speed immediately.
Release the switch trigger to stop. (Fig.3)
IX. Checking the run-down brake
If the saw chain does not stop within one second in this test, stop using the chain saw and consult our authorized service center.
Run the chain saw then release the switch trigger completely. The saw chain must come to a standstill within one second.
X. Safety guard for avoiding kickback
• The shape of the safety guard largely eliminates the risk of kickback.
• The saw is optimally protected against kickback by the safety guard with tip protection. Never remove the safety guard. There is a risk of injury!(Fig.4)

XI. Assembly
• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is removed before carrying out any work on the tool.
• Do not touch the saw chain with bare hands. Always wear gloves when handling the saw chain.
XII. Removing or installing guide bar cover
Be careful not to touch the saw chain when installing or removing the guide bar cover.
To install the guide bar cover, uplift the safety guard and push-in the guide bar cover along the guide bar slightly, slide it sideways as far as it can go, and then
release the safety guard . To remove the guide bar cover, perform the installation steps in reverse.(Fig 5-6 )
