Adjusting the return brake
The return brake (fig. 7) prevents the hose reel from rolling back. By
turning it clockwise, the slaughter drum is braked when it rolls back.
Opening the automatic shut-off
Now open the automatic shut-off by pulling back the red button on the
water stop valve and thus fixing the activation handle on the front of the
hose reel (fig.8).
The valve is now open pending activation via the sprinkler trolley.
Attention: The water supply should not be opened when doing this.
Preparing the water supply and starting the sprinkling process
Now connect the available water supply with the LEADER.
Tip: The diameter of the supply hose should always be one hose size
larger than the hose on the reel irrigator (see technical data, chapter. 3).
The sprinkling process starts and the sprinkler trolley is pulled in by the
hose.
Water pressure: min. 2.5bar - max. 4,5bar
The speed of the sprinkler may be adjusted continuously. A swivel valve
(fig. 9) is located on the water turbine for this purpose:
Turn off valve = slower = intensive sprinkling
Open valve = quicker = reduced sprinkling
The circular movement of the sector sprinkler can be adjusted as
required. The spray jet can be "interrupted" as required using the
adjusting screw (see chapter: Setting the sector sprinkler).
When the sprinkling is completed, the sprinkler trolley activates the
automatic shut-off by pushing the activation handle on the front of the
hose reel upwards (fig. 10).
This closes the valve and the water supply is interrupted. Sprinkling is
now terminated.
Attention: Always open the valve in a depressurised state. Otherwise
there is a risk that the valve seal will shift in position and the valve will not
close properly when triggered.
