1.3 Warnings
General warnings.
Incorrect installation, adjustment, modification, maintenance or repair can lead to material and
environmental damage and to injury. For this reason, the equipment should be installed, adjusted or
converted by a qualified, professional fitter, observing national and international regulations. The
warranty will be void in the event of incorrect installation, adjustment, modification, maintenance
or repair.
Appliance.
Applicable national as well as any regional and local regulations should be followed when installing
wall-mounted air heaters (e.g. gas utility regulations, municipal construction regulations, etc.).
Installation of the wall-mounted air heater may only be done in areas and locations suitable for the
purpose (see Chapter 2, Installation).
Gas supply and connection.
Prior to installation, check that local distribution conditions, gas type, pressure and the appliance's
current settings are compatible with each other. An approved gas stop cock should be fitted to the
internal piping.
Flue gas discharge and outlet for flue duct/exhaust pipe. Combustion air supply piping and flue gas
discharge piping should include as few bends as possible; in general, resistance should be kept to a
minimum, and the same diameter should be maintained along the entire length under all
circumstances. The exhaust pipe may not be supported on the heater; instead, it should be
appropriately suspended! If the exhaust pipe is laid alongside or through flammable walls or
flooring, a sufficient gap must be left between this and the pipe to prevent fire.
