Allow to warm up.

Allow to warm up.
Fill the prescribed ZF LifeGuardFluid
until it runs out of the filler hole.
START
Start the engine.
Check transmission oil temperature T
T = 30 °C – 50 °C
oil
[Maserati: 50 °C – 60 °C]
Maintain the engine speed at 2,000 rpm
for 30 s (fill torque converter).
Let engine run at idle speed.
Check transmission oil temperature T
T = 30 °C – 50 °C
oil
[Maserati: 50 °C – 60 °C]
Select position P, R and D.
Manually shift D1 and D2.
Hold each gear for approx. 10 seconds.
Check transmission oil temperature T
T = 30 °C – 50 °C
oil
[Maserati: 50 °C – 60 °C]
Open the oil fill lock screw.
Does oil run out
of the filling hole?
NO
Close the oil fill screw plug.
Check the transmission for leaks.
