5.2.1 Bead Breaking

Upper Bead Breaking
First of all the Bead Breaker Disc must be placed in
the correct position.
Proceed as follows:
Figure 5.2-2
Use handle 1, Figure A, to move the Upper Bead
Breaker in position on the tyre bead, close to the
contact area with the rim.
The lower disc automatically starts the movement, until
it reaches the corresponding position of the upper disc
(Figure B).
Wait for the LED (6, Fig.5.2-4), and the corresponding
acoustic signal, to switch off.
Activate the control (5, Fig.5.2-4) to lock both Bead
Breaker arms.
Activate rotation and lubricate in the bead breaking
zone.
Lower the Disc (Command 3, Fig. 5.2-4) by exerting
moderate pressure to move the bead just slightly
away from its seat on the rim.
Note: Proceed with rotation and lubrication so that
the solution penetrates as far as possible
between tire and rim Figure 5.2-3.
• Gradually lower the Bead Breaker Disc, ensuring
that rotation is always active, until the bead has
been moved completely away from its seat in the
direction of the rim drop center.
WARNING: IF NECESSARY BEAD BREAKING CAN
BE AIDED BY USING THE BEAD BREAKER DISC
PENETRATION ANGLE VARIATION CONTROL
