4.5.2 SPEED CHANGE GEAR
The gear shift is located on the right side of the seeder and receives
motion from the roller. The gear shift is used to change speed to
the seed distribution units through the adjustment lever which is
calibrated on a continuous scale of 1 to 55 (Fig. 26).
Loosen the knob, move the lever to bottom of scale «0» (zero) and
then set it to the value indicated. Lock it by tightening the knob.
4.5.3 TRIAL SOWING GEARBOX TABLE
This Table (Table 6) indicates the number of turns that the seeder's
gearbox must make in order to perform a trial sowing when the
machine is stationary.
This turn value depends on the model of the seeder, the work width
and the type of roller used.
In the case of working widths that differ from those indicated in the
table, it is possible to calculate the n° of gear revolutions.
For example: there is a working width of 2.80 m.

For reference, use the values, n° of gearbox turns, of the nearest
working width which in this case is, according to the table, 3.00 m
with packer roller D.500 values:
