9 Warranty and repair conditions
9.1 Medisana AG warranty
Dear Customer,
A warranty on this device is provided which is valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

rights are not affected by our warranty, which is described in the following.

Warranty conditions
The warranty period begins with the date of purchase. Please keep the original sales
receipt. This document is required for proof of purchase.
If a material or production fault occurs in this product within three years of the date of
purchase, the product will be repaired for you free of charge, or replaced – at our
discretion. This warranty service requires that the defective device and the proof of
purchase (receipt) are sent in, along with a brief description of what the defect is and when
it occurred, within the three-year period. If the defect is covered by our warranty, the
product will be returned to you as a repaired product or a new product. No new warranty
period begins upon repair or replacement.
Any damage and defects already present at the time of purchase must be reported
immediately after unpacking. Once the warranty period has expired, you will be billed for
any repairs required.
Scope of warranty
The warranty service applies for material or production faults. This warranty does not
extend to product components subject to normal wear and can therefore be considered to
be wearing parts, e. g. batteries, sleeves, rechargeable batteries, or damage to fragile
parts, e. g. switches or parts made of glass.
This warranty expires if the product is damaged, has not been used properly, or was
subject to maintenance work. To ensure the product is used properly, all instructions included
in the operating manual must be complied with exactly. Using the product for purposes or
procedures which the operating manual discourages or warns against must be avoided.
The product is intended for private use only and not for commercial use. If the product is
subject to improper and inappropriate treatment, the use of force, or service work which
is not carried out by our authorised service office, the warranty will be voided.
