IMPORTANT READ CAREFULLY: It is important that all operators read and understand all sections
of this Tool Technical Data manual and the separate Safety and Operating Instruction Manual which
come with this tool. Failure to do so could result in you or others in the working area to be seriously injured.
WARNING! Eye protection in accordance with 89/686/EEC, and with equal or greater grade than defined in
EN166 should be used. However all aspects of operators work, environment and other type/s of machinery
being used, should also be considered when selecting any personal protection equipment. Note: Non-side
shielded spectacles and face shields alone do not provide adequate protection.
WARNING! To prevent accidental injuries:

Never place a hand or any other part of the body in fastener discharge area of tool.
●
Never point tool at yourself or anyone whether it contains fasteners or not.
●
Never engage in horseplay.
●
Never pull the trigger unless the nose is directed towards the work.
●
Always handle the tool with care.
●
This tool is intended to be used for fastening wood to wood in pallet/crate and construction applications.
DO NOT USE for fastening harder materials which could cause buckling of the fasteners and damage to the
tool. If you are unsure of the suitability of this tool for certain applications, please contact your local sales
office.
●
Do not pull the trigger or depress the trip mechanism whilst loading the tool.
●
To prevent accidental actuation and possible injury, always disconnect air supply.

5. When moving to a different work area, as accidental actuation may occur, possibly causing injury.

The operation of this tool can cause sparks and act as a source of ignition for flammable fuels and gases.
LOADING THE TOOL
1. Move the pusher to rear until latched. Cover will open. Pusher front will drop into notch on top of magazine
rail. (Fig 1)
2. Drop staple stick over magzine and slide forward. Repeat until magazine is loaded, allowing enough space
for pusher to disengage the magazine and the cover to close (approximately 13mm.) (Fig 2)
3. Pull and hold top part of knob and depress bottom part of knob in a clockwise direction to release pusher.

Note: Use only fasteners recommended by Bostitch for use in Bostitch tools or nails which meet Bostitch
specifications.

Fastener Control adjustment feature provides close control of the fastener drive depth;
from flush with the work surface to shallow or deep countersink. First, set the air pressure for consistent drive in
the specific work, then use the DIAL-A-DEPTH
TO ADJUST DIAL-A-DEPTH
1. With air pressure set, drive a few fasteners into a representative sample of the material to determine if
adjustment is necessary.
2. If adjustment is required, disconnect air supply.
3. Remove cover mounting nuts and cover. Tilt out the contact trip arm assembly. Rotate the adjusting nut to the
left to increase fastener drive depth, or to the right to decrease it. Reinstall the contact arm assembly, cover and
mounting nuts.
