MATERIALS
A 1 Crossbar
B 1 10mm coupling packer
C 1 Ball Support
D 2 Side plates
E 2 Bumper Shims
F 2 M14 x 100 x 2.0mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
G 6 M14 x 40 x 2.0mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
H 6 M12 x 40 x 1.25 Bolts 10.9 grade, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
CB 2 M16 x 60 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
ZEP 6 – High Clearance electrical plate
EP 1
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S'
value greater than or equal to that of the towbar may also be used with universal couplings Z46 and Z32)
Please refer to vehicle specification for trailer weight and nose load limits, which must be observed.
FITTING
1. Remove the bumper
2. Remove the fixings securing the bumper arms to bumper and reattach using Bumper Shims (E) with original bolts and
fully tighten.
3. Loosely attach side arms (D) to chassis rails using the forward 2 bolts (H), attach bumper using remaining Bolts (H).
4. Attach Cross bar (A) to side arms (D) using Bolts (G). Ensure a 10mm gap is achieved between Cross bar (A) and spare
wheel (spare wheel can moved forward easily by lowering slightly and pushing forward before tightening).
5. Loosely attach Ball Support (C) to Crossbar (A) using Bolts (F).
6. Ensuring faceplate on Ball Support is vertical fully tighten all Bolts.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm Grade 10.9: M12 –
120Nm
