MATERIALS
A 1 Crossbar
B 2 Side arm
C 2 Chassis Stiffener
D 1 Heat shield
E 4 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolt, Lock Washer and Flat Washer (30mm O.D.)
F 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolt, 2x M12 Form A Washers, M12 Nylock Nut
G 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolt, M12 Lock Washer, M12 Form A Washer
H 4 M6 x 20 Bolt, 2x M6 Washers, M6 Nylock Nut
ZN 1 Electrical plate
ZN 1 Neck option
Please refer to vehicle specification for trailer weight and nose load limits, which must be observed.
FITTING
1. Open boot and remove 2 screws under plastic lids close to the rear lights.
2. Remove screws and plastic rivets at the wheel arch trims, remove also mud flaps if installed.
Then remove the plastic mudguard within the wheel arches via the plastic fixings.
3. Release wheel arch trims on rear bumper area by easing off the snap on fixings inside wheel arch.
4. Remove plastic rivets fixing the lower edge of bumper and disconnect electric connector within; the bumper can now
be removed.
5. Remove plastic panels under vehicle at left and right corner and expose towbar fixing holes at outer face.
6. Remove collision beam via 8 M8 bolts saving 6 for towbar installation. Collision beam is not re-installed on the
vehicle.
7. Insert side arms (B) into side rails and hand tighten using fixtures (E).
Mount stiffeners (C) to rear panel with original M8 bolts (X), tighten to 18Nm.
Loosely attach cross bar (A) to side arms (B) using fixtures (F/G) then attach heat shield (D) using fixtures (H).
8. Mount selected ball neck (ZN) and socket plate (ZE) to cross bar (A) in accordance with separate instructions; using
zip-ties secure the electrical cable so that it is not resting against the heat shield.
9. Align towbar and fully tighten bolts and nuts to recommended settings.
10. Re-attach removed parts back to vehicle.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M6 - 11Nm, M12 - 95Nm, M14 - 150Nm, M16 - 200Nm, Grade 10.9 bolts: M12 – 120Nm
