SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Please read the following instructions before using the chains.
Failure to follow these warnings and instructions may result in serious injury or material damage.
IMPORTANT !
• We refuse all liability for damages resulting from the failure to follow these warnings, or the installation
and removal instructions included in the user manual.
• We strongly recommend that you practice installing at home before using for the rst time.
1 - Be safe! For your comfort and safety, practice
installing before using for the rst time under operational
conditions on snow-covered roads.
2 - Only use on tyres that are in good condition, of the correct
dimension as indicated on the product identi cation label and
following manufacturer recommendations. Ensure that the product is
fully compatible with the exact dimensions of the tyres tted to the
vehicle.
3 - The vehicle's operational characteristics may change when using
snow chains. Drive carefully avoiding sudden accelerations and
braking. When towing, all relevant Highway Code regulations must be
respected.
4 - Only use the chains on snow and/or ice covered surfaces.
5 - Carefully follow the installation and removal instructions.
6 - For your safety, we recommend that you wear a high-viz bib when
installing and removing snow chains on your vehicle. Follow the
Highway Code regulations referring to vehicle breakdowns.
7 - Install the chains on the vehicle when it is securely parked as
indicated in the installation instructions. Always install the chains as a
pair on the same axle, with the drive wheels being the priority. It is
recommended that two sets of chains be tted on 4 wheel drive
vehicles. Not suitable for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tons.
8 - Visually check the chains, regardless of if they are new or used,
before each installation.
Use only authorised spare-parts for repairs. (Contact the after-sales
service for more information)
9 - Chains should never be tted if they show any signs of damage
or breakage.
10 - Tyre pressure must correspond with vehicle manufacturer
speci cations.
- After tting the chains, check that no part of the chain is in contact
with the vehicle body, even with the steering at full-lock.
- After driving for a short distance (50 - 100 metres), stop the
vehicle and check that the chains are still correctly installed. The
chains should not slip. After driving a distance of around one
kilometre, check again that the product is still correctly installed.
- Store the chains in a dry place. Wash chains with fresh water after
use and leave to dry. Protect the chains from chemicals (petrol, acid,
heat).
- Before leaving the vehicle parked for a long time be
sure to remove the chains such that they do not freeze
to the wheels, this will make removing them dif cult.
- To avoid injury, pay careful attention to ngers, hands and hair when
installing and removing.
- Use the special snow-chain tting gloves provided with the kit.
- Stay away from the wheel once the chains have been tted and it
is moving. Install the chains in a suitable and secure location.
If the vehicle has a traction control system (ETS, TCS, ESC, DSC,
etc...) this must not be deactivated.
- Respect a maximum speed of 50 km/h.
- The manufacturer will not be held liable for any failure to apply
these recommendations or any modi cations made to the chains by
the user.
