PERSONAL SAFETY

Dress properly, wear protective equipment. Use breathing, ear, eye, face, foot, hand and head protection.
Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles, which must provide both frontal and side protection.
Always wear a mask when spraying. Protect your hands with suitable gloves. Wear a full face shield. Protect
your head from falling objects by wearing a hard hat. Wear an ANSI approved dust mask or respirator when
working around metal, wood and chemical dusts and mists. Wear ANSI approved earplugs. Protective,
electrically non-conductive clothes and non-skid footwear are recommended when working. Wear steel toed
boots to prevent injury from falling objects.
When using indoors, always make sure the area is well ventilated.
Do not over reach; keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enables better
control in unexpected situations.
Keep any articles of clothing, jewelry, hair etc. away from moving parts. These can be caught in moving
parts, resulting in damage to the tool and/or serious injury.
Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use your common sense. Do not operate any machine or tool when
you are tired, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
Do not allow the spray to strike you and do not spray toward people or animals.
Do not touch movable parts or accessories while the water pump is running.
Remove adjusting tools such as wrenches or keys before turning the water pump on. A wrench or key left
attached to a rotating part will fly off and may cause personal injury.
SPECIFIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Run a new or newly maintained water pump at low speed with low load for a test period of 10 to 20 hours.
Do not run at high speed with a full load.
A filter net must be added to the inlet of the suction pipe as a protection against impurities being sucked into
the pump. It also protects the impeller from being damaged.
Do not run the pump at high speed unless you have primed it first.
Drain water from the pump before storing.
Keep the fuel clean. The fuel must be filtered or settled for 24 hours before used. Do not add fuel to the tank
or crank case when the water pump is running.
TOOL USE AND CARE
The filter net must be dipped into the water no less than 12" (0.3 m) to avoid sucking air.
Keep a distance of 47" (1.2 m) from the bottom of the water source. Stay away from river bottoms and river
banks to avoid the suction of stones or weeds.
When the pump is used in the winter, screw off the drain cock under the pump and drain the water
thoroughly after stopping the machine. This can prevent the pump from being broken by ice expanding
inside pump.
Only use the lubricants supplied with the tool or specified by the manufacturer. Other lubricants may not be
suitable and may damage the tool or even make the tool explode.
Maintain the label and name plate on the tool. These carry important information. If unreadable or missing,
contact Princess Auto for a replacement.

LUBRICATION

Use the proper lubricant and fill or lubricate parts only as necessary. Use only recommended lubricants. Substitutes
may harm the rubber compounds in the tool's O-rings and other rubber parts.
WARNING! NEVER use WD-40 to clean or lubricate your air tool. WD-40 is a solvent that will break down the
internal grease and cause the air tool to seize up.
