10. Handling
• Never plug the mains plug into a mains socket immediately after the device has been taken from a cold
to a warm environment. The condensation generated could destroy the device.
Allow the device to reach room temperature before connecting it. Wait until the condensation water has
evaporated.
• Never disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Only unplug it by pulling
on the plug.
• Unplug the power supply if you do not use the device over a period of time.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in case of a thunderstorm.
• Do not listen to excessively loud music for a long period of time. This may damage your hearing.
11. Maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the mixer, e.g. for damage to the mains cable or the casing.
If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, put the device out of operation
immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation. Pull the power plug out of the socket!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the device or to the mains cable
• the device no longer functions
• the device has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions
• the device has been subjected to heavy transport strain
Always observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the mixer:
Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all power sources before any servicing or repair work is
carried out.
Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected from all pow-
er sources.
Repair work must always be carried out by a specialist familiar with the hazards involved and
with the relevant regulations.
The outside of the device should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use caustic cleaning
agents or chemical solutions, as the surface of the casing could be damaged.
