– Check whether the band-saw blade 12 is positioned cor-
rectly around both rollers 20. Fold down the cover 16 and
allow the locking flaps 17 to engage.
 Check that the band-saw blade 12 is seated correctly.
Switch the power tool on and off two or three times to
ensure that the band-saw blade is running correctly in
the saw blade guides. If the band-saw blade is not mount-
ed correctly, it can come undone and injure you.
Dust/Chip Extraction
 Dusts from materials such as lead-containing coatings,
some wood types, minerals and metal can be harmful to
one's health. Touching or breathing-in the dusts can cause
allergic reactions and/or lead to respiratory infections of
the user or bystanders.
Certain dusts, such as oak or beech dust, are considered
as carcinogenic, especially in connection with wood-treat-
ment additives (chromate, wood preservative). Materials
containing asbestos may only be worked by specialists.
– Provide for good ventilation of the working place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your country for the
materials to be worked.
 Prevent dust accumulation at the workplace. Dusts can
easily ignite.
Mounting Work for Stationary Operation
Mounting to a Working Surface (see figure B)
 To ensure safe handling, the saw table must be mount-
ed on a level and stable surface (e. g. workbench) prior
to stationary operation.
– Fasten the saw table with suitable screw fasteners to the
work surface. The mounting holes 25 serve for this pur-
pose.
Mounting the Power Tool on the Saw Table
(see figures C1–C2)
– Put the saw table in the transport position (see "Securing
the Machine (Transport Position)", page 14).
– Fasten the power tool to the tool arm 37 using the two fas-
tening screws 38.
– Tighten the adjusting screw 34 with the hex key provided
31.
Operation
 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the mains
plug.
Transport Safety (Stationary Operation)
(see figure D)
The transport safety-lock 36 enables easier handling of the
machine when transporting to various working locations.
Releasing the Machine (Working Position)
– Press the power tool down slightly by the auxiliary handle
6 to release the transport safety-lock 36.
– Pull the transport safety-lock 36 outward fully and turn it
until the transport safety-lock engages in the large gap.

– Guide the power tool slowly upward by the auxiliary handle
6.
Securing the Machine (Transport Position)
– Guide the power tool downward by the auxiliary handle 6.
– Pull the transport safety-lock 36 outward fully and turn it
until the transport safety-lock engages in the small gap.
The power tool with saw table is now safely locked for
transport.
For additional information on transport, see page 16.
Adjusting the Cutting Angle (Stationary Opera-
tion) (see figure E)
The mitre angle can be set in a range of 0° to 45°, and the set-
tings can be read on the scale 29. The 0° and 45° positions
are secured by the respective end stop.
– Loosen the locking screws 32 for the angle stop using the
hex key provided 31.
– Adjust the desired angle and firmly tighten both locking
screws 32 again.
Displacing the Angle Stop
You can displace the angle stop 30 forward.
– Loosen the locking screws 32 for the angle stop using the
hex key provided 31.
– Displace the angle stop 30 forward the desired distance.
– Adjust the desired angle and firmly tighten both locking
screws 32 again.
Clamping the Workpiece (Stationary Operation)
(see figure F)
To ensure optimum working safety, the workpiece must al-
ways be firmly clamped.
Do not saw workpieces that are too small to clamp.
Long workpieces must be underlaid or supported at their free
end.
– Place the workpiece against the angle stop 30.
– Slide the clamping spindle 28 against the workpiece and
firmly clamp the workpiece with the spindle handle 27.
Loosening the Workpiece
– Loosen the spindle handle 27.
– Tilt up the quick release 26 and pull the clamping spindle
28 away from the workpiece.
Sawing Workpieces of the Same Length
(see figure G)
The material stop 22 can be used for easily sawing workpiec-
es to the same length.
– Screw the guide bar 23 all the way into the side inner
thread on the saw table. Tighten the nut using a suitable
open-end spanner.
– Set the material stop 22 to the desired length and fix it us-
ing the clamping screw 24 on the guide bar 23.
Starting Operation
To save energy, only switch the power tool on when using it.
