9. Connection

Make sure that the mains cable is unplugged before connecting the device. Also disconnect all
devices you wish to connect from the power supply.
Make sure all audio connections are made correctly, i.e. left to left and right to right.
a) Connecting the cinch outputs and headphones
Always use suitable, shielded cinch cables to connect to the cinch sockets. Using other cables
could cause interferences.
To prevent distortion or mismatching which may result in damage to the device, only connect
suitable devices to the cinch sockets.
• Connect the OUTPUT sockets (24) to a free input on your mixer.
• Connect the white socket to the left input and the red socket to the red input.
• Connect your headphones to the DEMO OUTPUT socket (23).
b) Connection to the mains supply
Before connecting the mains plug, make sure that the nominal voltage indicated on the device
complies with the available mains voltage. If it does not match the mains voltage used, do not
connect the device. Connecting the device to an incorrect supply voltage may result in serious
damages.
Take care when handling mains cables and mains sockets. Mains voltage can cause fatal elec-
tric shocks.
The mains socket that the device is connected to must be easily accessible so that the device
may be disconnected from the power supply quickly and easily in case of error.
Turn off the DJ MP3 player and all connected devices before connection to the power supply.
Make sure that all electrical connections, connecting cables between the devices and any
extension cords used are in compliance with standards and this user manual. If you use an
extension cord, make sure it has the proper rating.
• Connect the small mains cable plug to the AC IN mains socket (21).
• Connect the mains cable plug to a mains socket.
• Use the POWER switch (22) to turn the player on/off.
Position ON > the device is on
Position OFF > the device is off
