11. Handling
• When you move the product from a cold room to a warm room, do not connect the mains plug immedia-
tely. The condensation generated could destroy the device.
Leave the device disconnected until it has reached room temperature. Wait until the condensation has
evaporated.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains socket
using the intended grips.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended period of
time.
• For safety reasons, always unplug the device in case of a thunderstorm.
• Do not listen to music at a high volume for an extended period of time. This may damage your hearing.
12. Maintenance
Regularly check the technical safety of the device — i.e. auf damages to the mains cable or housing.
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it immediately
and secure it against being operated unintentionally. Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket!
Safe operation is no longer guaranteed when:
• the device is visibly damaged
• the device no longer works
• the device was stored for a long period of time under adverse conditions or
• the device has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
Read and observe the following safety instructions before cleaning the device:
Opening the covers or removing components may expose voltage-carrying device
components.
Therefore, always disconnect the device from the power supply before maintenance or re-
pairs.
Capacitors inside the device may still be charged even if the device is disconnected from the
power supply.
Have repairs done by experts who are familiar with the applicable regulations and the hazards
involved.
The device is otherwise maintenance-free. Clean the device housing using only a soft, dry cloth or brush.
Never use any aggressive solvents or chemical solutions as these may cause damage to the housing
surface.
