Microstream
for Intubated Patients
Instructions for use:
1. Firmly connect the small-end (male) of the Microstream
Adapter

source).
2. Firmly connect the patient's endotracheal tube connector into
the large-end (female)
3. When using a VitaLine™ with an incubator, string the VitaLine™
tubing through the tubing access door of the incubator such that
one Nafion
while the second Nafion
outside the incubator, close to the incubator tubing access door.
Ensure that the tubing is not twisted or crimped.
4. Twist the female luer connector

5. Following connection of the CO
values appear on the monitor display.
6. To remove the airway adapter from the breathing circuit, twist
the airway adapter outwards by a quarter turn while firmly
gripping the closest section of the ventilation source or patient's
endotracheal tubing, and disconnect.
