Fail-secure door latch (NC contact)
The two terminals (A + C) normally provide 0 V. Once the Doorlock open
is pressed, the terminals will provide a 12 V supply temporarily for 10 seconds. Always
release the PTT
Under no circumstances should AC mains voltage be directly connected to
the terminal blocks (8).
Auxiliary terminal (AUX)
These two terminals act like a switch and will be short-circuited when the
doorlock open button
from the terminals. They can be used to trigger a conventional door chime,
for example.
• Insert 3 AAA batteries into the battery compartment to serve as a back-up in case
the 12 V supply fails. However, the door opener will not work, when the caller unit is
using batteries only.
• Install the caller unit back onto the wall bracket using the supplied special
screwdriver.
The caller unit meets the IP54 standard (protection against dust, rain, snow
and spray water) and can be operated from -19 ˚C to +60 ˚C.
