MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC – A50-1
C 2 M10 x 80 x 1.5mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
D 2 M10 x 90 x 1.5mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (40mm O.D.)
D1 4 Bushes (14mm O.D. - 54mm Long)
E 1 Right Hand Side Arm (Long)
F 1 Left Hand Side Arm (Short)
G 2 M8 x 25 x 1.25mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
H 4 M10 x 30 x 1.5mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and 8 Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
I 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
CB 2 M16 x 50 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
FITTING
1. Remove spare wheel. Cut Bumper as shown below, also release two lower plastic bumper clips to give more flexibility.
2. LooseIy attach Cross Bar (A) to existing holes in rear panel using Bolts (G), with vertical plates on the rearward face of the
rear panel.
3. Jack up rear of vehicle to gain access to outer holes in chassis. Cut marked access holes in plastic wheel arch liners (next
to rear of wheel). Insert Bushes (D1) into frame and loosely attach Side Arms (E) and (F) to frame using Bolts (C) and (D).
4. Attach Side Arms (E) and (F) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (H). Tighten all bolts.
Note: Remove all mastic etc. from mounting surfaces.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
