MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
C 1 Centre Tube with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 4 M10 x 40 x 1.5mm Bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (20mm O.D.) and special cage nuts
E 1 Left Hand Side Arm
F 1 Right Hand Side Arm
G 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
H 2 M12 x 35 x 1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and one Nut
J 2 M10 x 1.5mm Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
K 2 M12 x 75 x 1.75mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
CB 2 M16 x 50 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
(G) 2 M10 x 40 x 1.5mm Bolts, Lock Washers, Large Flat Washers (25mm O.D.) and special cage nuts.
(For use on vehicles with no captive nuts in rear panel.)
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1.
Temporarily lower exhaust from its rearmost hangers and remove heat shield.
2.
Insert Special Cage Nuts for Bolts (D) into vehicle frame (two on each side).
3.
Loosely attach Left and Right Hand Side Arms (E) and (F) using Bolts (D) and 1 Bolt (G) on left hand side into captive nut in
rear frame. Note: If captive nuts are not present in rear panel, use alternative Bolts (G) and special cage nuts.
4.
Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to Side Arms (E) and (F) using Bolts (H) on left hand side and Nuts (J) on right hand side and
using remaining Bolt (G) into rear frame.
5.
Loosely attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (K). Tighten all Bolts.
6.
Refit exhaust heat shield. (Note: It may be necessary to trim edge of heat shield) and remount exhaust.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
