MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
C 1 Centre Tube with European facing 94/20/EC – A50-1
C1 2 Sidearms (Left Hand and Right Hand)
D 4 M10 x 35mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.) and special cage nuts
E 4 M10 x 30mm Bolts, 2 Nuts and Lock Washers
F 2 M12 x 40mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Large Flat Washers (25mm O.D.)
F1 2 Spacers (10mm Thick)
G 2 M12 x 70mm Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Temporarily lower rearmost exhaust box from its rearmost hangers and remove heat shield.
2. Insert Special Cage Nuts for Bolts (D) into the existing holes on the inside faces of vehicle frame (two on each side)
3. Loosely attach Left and Right Hand Side Arms (C1) to the Cage Nuts in vehicle using Bolts (D).
4. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to Side Arms (C1) using Bolts (E) and to the captive nuts in the rear panel using Bolts (F) with
Spacers (F1).
5. Loosely attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (G). Tighten all bolts.
6. Refit exhaust heat shield and remount exhaust.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
