Commissioning:
Only connect the system to a cold water pipe (max. 30°C). In the event of higher temperatures, the reten-
tion rates will deteriorate and the membrane will wear prematurely.
1.
Connect to the water tap connector to a 3/4" water tap, interpose an adapter piece if necessary (not sup-
plied). Lead the residual water hose and initially also the osmosis water hose into the drain.
4
The flush valve
must be closed (lever transversely to the flow direction).
The minimum water pressure for operating the system is 3bar. The rated output is reached at 4bar. Pres-
sures below 3bar result in reduced pure water performances, below 2bar also to reduced retention rates.
2.
6
Connect a piece of a hose from the water tap connector to the tap water inlet
1
of the system into the superfine prefilter
3.
Carefully open the water tap (only a few at first) in order to check the tightness of the components. Then
open the water tap completely. Allow the system to run for 2-3 hours in order to remove the preservative
contained in the membrane.
During this time, lead the osmosis water into the drain, do NOT use.
4.

4
The waste water must flow in a weak water jet via the outlet tap
with closed flush valve
9
7
After a few minutes, it will also flow out of the pure water line
, but significantly weaker.
Both the osmosis water and the residual water must always be able to flow freely.
Maintenance
The osmosis system works almost maintenance-free. In order to guarantee the longest possible mem-
brane life, it is necessary to regularly remove the residues depositing on the osmosis membrane over time
by flushing it. For this purpose, the system is equipped with a convenient flush valve. If the membrane is
not flushed regularly, lime will deposit on the membrane surface which results in a reduced performance
and a premature failure of the system.
Backflushing:
In order to flush the membrane, the flush valve must be opened. Then, the water flows with full speed
through the membrane pressure housing and flushes away most contaminations and residues.
This should ideally be carried out for a duration of 5 minutes after each preparation of osmosis water
(dependent on the contamination and prepared osmosis water amount).
Prefilter:
Both prefilters should be replaced every six months when using normally contaminated tap water. In the
event of higher contaminated water, the replacement should be carried out as necessary (when the pure
water production decreases).
When replacing filters, flush the prefilter first before connecting it to the membrane housing!!
