Vehicle Preparation
1. Temperature must be between 61°F-86°F (16°C-31°C)
2. For best results, vehicle should be free of damage (dents,
scuffs, creases, fractures, etc).
RACING STRIPES INSTALLATION - CONVERTIBLE
NOTE: Using an experienced installer of similar products is
HIGHLY recommended.
1. Only apply Racing Stripes to cool surfaces where the room
temperature is between 61°F-86°F (16°C-31°C). Using a
wax and grease remover, clean vehicle where racing stripes
are to be applied, completely remove any road film or polish.
2. Measure across the tonneau and hood, as per Figure 1A
and Figure 1B, and mark with China marker (or equivalent
grease pencil) the center where the hood meets the wind-
shield and where the tonneau meets the mid section.
NOTE: For best racing stripe alignment, step back and
visually check to make sure the marks look like they are
centered and that they line up with each other.
3. Saturate vehicle surfaces, in order of suggested sequence,
with spray bottle.
NOTE: Mix 2-3 drops of detergent with 12oz of water. Use
an additional 12oz of water mixed with detergent if neces-
sary.

4. Peel off the 3M liner from the Racing Stripe Graphic care-
fully, See Figure 1E. Spray adhesive side of the Racing
Stripe with the spray bottle and bring it into the correct
position on the vehicle. Align the center lines on the racing
stripe masking with the marks from step 2. Ensure the
stripes are aligned with the features of the vehicle as
shown in Figure 1A and 1B.
5. Remove water from under the Racing Stripe Graphic by
gently working the surface with the application squeegee.
Starting from the center of graphic, work upwards and
downwards away from the center of the Racing Stripe
Graphic. Then, from the center of the wet-out areas in Step
4, work to the sides of the Graphics ensuring no air bubbles
remain under the Graphics. See Figure 1D.
6. Allow graphic to set approximately 10 minutes prior to
removing Masking.
NOTE: Remove masking by pulling it onto itself 180°.
NEVER pull straight up off graphic.
7. Once Racing Stripes are applied, cover the squeegee with a
soft cloth (comparable to 3M SA-1) and gently press any
bubbles out to the nearest edge of the Graphic.
NOTE: BE CAREFUL NOT TO SCRATCH OR MAR THE
GRAPHIC.
Allow 3 hours minimum at room temperature, 61°F-86°F
(16°C-31°C). for drying. Do not use the car wash for 48
hours. If after application, bubbles of air are left in the
decal/graphic, pierce bubbles with safety pin on outer edge
and force air out with the squeegee. USE EXTREME CAU-
TION!

1A and Figure 1C, and mark with China marker (or equiva-
lent grease pencil) the center where the hood meets the
windshield and where the tonneau meets the mid section.
NOTE: For best racing stripe alignment, step back and
visually check to make sure the marks look like they are
centered and that they line up with each other.
3. Saturate vehicle surfaces, in order of suggested sequence,
with spray bottle.
NOTE: Mix Detergent with 12oz of water. Use an additional
12oz of water mixed with detergent if necessary.
