5. Parallel System Commissioning

Parallel systems should be commissioned only after setup is complete for the individual systems.
The example below is for commissioning four units in parallel.
1. Confirm the input/output wire connections and input phase sequence are correct. Switch off the battery breaker and
measure to ensure the +/- bat voltages of all battery groups are normal.
2. Connect the parallel cable. It should be a formed loop connection.
3. Switch on the input breaker of unit 1 and access the LCD setting interface to set the parallel working mode, ID, parallel
number and redundant number. (Refer to section 4.3.6.2.) Set required setting for series number and battery capacity.
The output voltage level and bypass protection range are default setting.
4. Turn off the input breaker of unit 1 and make sure the UPS is off. Turn on the input breaker of unit 2. Access the LCD
setting interface to set the parallel working mode, ID, parallel number and redundant number. The other setting are the
same as UPS 1 operation.
5. For unit 3 and unit 4, the operation settings are all the same as units 1 and 2.
6. Turn on Bypass/Input/Output breakers on all the paralleled UPS, then confirm all the settings are correct. Each UPS has a
different ID.
7. Turn on all the battery breakers and confirm the battery cabinet voltage and current are normal.
8. Connect the load, and check to ensure the output currents are balance.
9. Switch the utility breaker on and off to test all the UPS units' converter system going from utility to battery and restored
function are working.
