Clean Volume and Master Controls
The YGL2 uses a Clean Volume control in conjunction with a Master control to control
the amount of tube-based overdrive and volume. The Clean Volume control can be
used to adjust the amount of overdrive, while the Master control allows you to set the
actual loudness of the amplifier.
USA/Brit Switch
This switch allows you to select the order of the gain structure components in the signal chain
of the YGL2 Clean Channel.
USA: This position places the Tone controls before the Clean Volume control. This position
will give you the cleanest sound by maximizing the available headroom.
Brit: This position places the Clean Volume control before a second gain stage that
drives the Tone controls. This will allow you to get a more saturated sound and still
allow you to shape your Tone.
Bright Switch
The Bright switch can be used to add extra sparkle to your clean sound. The effect is more
noticeable at lower Volume settings and will diminish as the Volume is increased.
Channel Select Switch
Use this switch to select between the Clean Channel and the overdrive Channel. When
the footswitch is plugged in it overrides this switch and channel selection is done
through the footswitch alone.
