Service
The QuikRead go instrument is designed to be
free of regular maintenance with build-in self check
operations. In case of instrument malfunction or a
repair requirement, please contact your local sup-
plier. Before shipping the instrument to service,
delete all patient results from Result history and
clean the exterior of the instrument. See chapter
Cleaning the instrument for detailed instructions.
Warranty
The manufacturer's warranty for the QuikRead go
instrument covers defects in materials or manu-
facturing for a period of two years from the date
of purchase. For the warranty to be valid, the war-
ranty seal (see Picture 3) needs to be untouched.
The manufacturer agrees to repair or replace the
instrument if it becomes inoperative due to the fail-
ure of any internal part of the instrument. The war-
ranty does not cover damage caused by use not
in accordance with instructions. This warranty is
valid for two years. The manufacturer is under no
obligation to modify or update the instrument once
it has been manufactured, unless a manufacturing
defect is identified.

Disposal
The QuikRead go instrument is a low-voltage
electronic device. It is designed in compliance
with the RoHS directive (Restriction of the Use of
Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and
Electronic Equipment: Directive 2011/65/EU). A
used QuikRead go instrument must be treated as
potentially biohazardous waste. The instrument
should be disposed of as Used Medical Equip-
ment according to national and local law. Be sure
to delete all patient data before disposing of the
instrument.
The packaging materials are recyclable materials.
The accumulator should be disposed of according
to national and local accumulator collection rules
based on Directive 2006/66/EC.
