9. Secure trailer connection unit to device carrier in right side of boot using the speed nut and
hexagon screw (fig. 3/1).
10. Connect and lock black 16-pin socket housing of 10-core cable set in designated socket of trailer
connection unit.
11. Connect and lock red 12-pin socket housing of 8-core cable set in designated socket of trailer
connection unit.
12. Screw brown cables with the two ring contacts to vehicle ground point at rear right in area of
coupling point (fig. 3/3).
13. Undo securing screw at bottom of device carrier for vehicle-fitted rear control unit 7L0 959 933A
(fig. 3/2) and pull device carrier carefully forwards.
14. Disconnect black 12-pin plug from rear control unit and unlock pink-coloured catch. Unlock
following cables and insert into 4-pin socket housing connected at end of cable set:
orange/green cable from chamber 2 to chamber 1.

orange/brown cable from chamber 8 to chamber 2.
