STEP 21: Remove the 2x side spacers and middle trunk subassembly from vehicle.
STEP 22: Remove three clips with clip remover (pull towards front of vehicle). Save clips for reuse, replace if damaged. Clip Part Number:
99045AE03AMA. Then lift panel upwards to disengage the four claws (claws are hidden under panel, two are shown in diagram below).
STEP 23: Go to the right-hand side of the backseat. Carefully loosen the trunk trim panel from the seat pillar trim and then shift it towards
the center of the vehicle (1) to clear the striker and then slightly shift it towards the rear (2).
