Neck Option
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball,
which dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
FITTING:
1.
Remove panels from within the luggage compartment to gain access to 3 fixings holding the rear lights in
place. Remove the 3 (M8 socket) fixings taking care not to drop the fixings into the vehicle body.
Carefully ease the lights from the vehicle disconnecting any wiring.
2.
Remove the boot floor to reveal a mounting point in each chassis rail.
3.
Remove the trim surrounding the luggage compartment catch by removing one torx screw and then with
extreme care, ease the trim away from the vehicle body. Plastic fixings can easily become damaged.
Using a long 10mm socket remove the 4 nuts from within the openings revealed. Take care not to drop
nuts into vehicle body.

Remove the bumper. Remove fixings from along the bumpers edge. Remove 3 fixings from within each
wheel arch. Carefully ease the trim from around each wheel arch away from the vehicle and pull back the
protective matting to reveal 2 more fixings. Starting at the bumper tips, ease the bumper away from it's
fixings. Disconnect any wiring that may be attached.
5.
Remove the fixings attaching the exhaust hanger and tank to the crash beam. Remove the fixings
attaching the crash beam to the vehicle, retaining for use later. Hand the crash beam back to the
customer.
6.
Sealant is recommended to prevent water ingress when attaching Sidearms to the vehicle. Pre-assemble
the Cage Nut from (G) to Sidearm (B). Insert the Bolt, Lockwasher and one Washer into the mounting
hole from within the luggage compartment. Insert the remaining two washers onto the bolt from within the
chassis opening. Taking care to keep the washers (within the chassis) in position insert the Sidearm into
the chassis opening, and over the rear panel stud and loosely attach using fixings (G). Using the
previously removed Nut with Lockwasher (E) and fixings (F) loosely attach Sidearm (B) to the rear panel.
Repeat the steps with Sidearm (C).
7.
Loosely attach Crossbar (A) to Sidearms (B & C) using fixings (H).
8.
Using fixings (J), re-attach the exhaust hanger and tank onto the crossbar.
9.
Loosely attach chosen Neck Option (ZN), Electrical Plate (EP) and Safety Chain Plate (D). Use fixings
supplied with the Neck to attach these items, but use bolts (K) on the side of the Safety Chain Plate.
10.
Align all parts before fully tightening all fixings to their correct torque setting.
11.
Cut the bumper using the diagram below as a guide only. An additional cut out is required if using the flip
up Electric Plate.
12.
Re-fit the bumper, trim and rear lights, re-attaching any wiring previously removed.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm,
M16 - 200 Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
