Witter MR63 Notice De Montage

MATERIALS:
A 1 Crossbar
X 6 M12 x 100 x 1.75 Bolts, Nyloc Nuts, Small Flat Washers & Large Flat Washers (30od/40od)
CB 2 M16 x 50 Coupling Bolts, Lock Washers & Nuts
ZE 1 Electric Plate
FITTING:
1. Remove rear lights. Remove the bumper, disconnecting any wiring that may be attached.
2. Remove the towing bracket on the right hand side & hand back to the customer.
3. On V Class only: Remove the bumper beam & hand it back to the customer. Refit the bumper beam
fixings back into the rear panel.
4. Cut the bumper using the diagram below as a guide.
5. Loosely attach Cross Bar (A) to each chassis using the hole indicated in the diagram below (H), using
fixings (X). Note: Large washers fit to the outer face of the chassis, using 30od washers at position (P).
6. Allow the Crossbar (A) to rest whilst replacing the bumper, affixing any wiring removed earlier.
7. Taking care not to damage the bumper, rotate the Crossbar (A) so that the remaining fixings (X) can
be used to secure the bar to the remaining chassis mounting holes.
8. Ensure faceplate is vertical. Tighten all Bolts to their recommended torque setting.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1X) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball
dimensionally conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M12 - 95 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
