Light activated disinfection of surface - Orange Program
The orange program is used for photo activated disinfection with the light tips touching the gingiva. The 8
mm blunt tip must be used for this purpose, otherwise the tissue may be overheated. In this program the light
vibrates when activated to ensure micro movements in the fluid/gel.
Use - Gingivititis or perimucositis
1. Apply QroxB2
Perio in the pocket and on edge of the pocket.
®
2. Activate Light for 5s per treatment spot.
Caution
Never treat more than 5s at same spot to avoid a burning sensation. If using the 10s setting,
move the tip from side to side.
Use - Mucositis or other surface inflammations
1. Apply the QroxB2
®
2. Activate Light for 5s per treatment spot.
Caution
Never treat more than 5s at same spot to avoid a burning sensation. If using the 10s setting,
move the tip from side to side.
Root canal and periodontal disinfection - Red Program
This mode must only be used with either a perio or endo tip attached.
Otherwise, the heat emission is too high and may provoke tissue damage. In this program the light vibrates
when activated to ensure micro movements in the fluid/gel.
Use - Root canal disinfection
Preparation: Clean and shape the root
canal using copious amounts of sodium
hypochlorite, citric acid or similar. Dry.
1. Fill the canal with disinfection agent
QroxB2
Endo.
®
2. Insert the endo light tip until resistance is met and activate light 2x30s.
3. Rinse and dry.
Use - Periodontal disinfection
Preparation: Perform conventional scaling and root planning.
1. Fill the pocket with disinfection agent QroxB2
2. Treat pocket from inside (perio tip 15mm or 23mm) minimum 15s per surface of tooth, depending of
depth. See table.
PD > 6 mm
PD > 8 mm
PD > 10 mm
Apical periodontitis
3. Rinse pocket.
Perio over the entire inflamed area using for example a cotton pellet.
