4.2 Temperature safety

The Lumina Max LAD light has a safety cut off to preserve the lifetime of the diode should overheating
occur. When the light gets close to the cut off temperature, an intermittent beep warning occur. The light
can be used for approximately another 15s before it cuts off. Overheating is indicated by 3 short beeps
followed by fast red flashing.

4.3 Battery power saving

Sleep mode
If the light has not been activated for 5 minutes or placed in the dock, it will go into Sleep mode to con-
serve energy. Press any button to reactivate it.
Deep Sleep mode
If the light is not placed in the charging dock or activated for 6 hours the light will go into Deep Sleep
mode. It must be placed in the dock for one second to be reactivated.

BLUNT TIPS

The blunt tips is used for surface disinfection treatment

and when curing composites close to the gingival.
This is to avoid too much heating of the gingiva, which
may happen when the light is used without tips.
PERIO TIP

The perio tips is used for periodontal treatment.
The perio tips have a diameter of 1 mm.
The distal 5 mm have a surface permitting the light
to go sideways.
The endo tip is used for endodontic treatment.
The endo tip has a diameter of 0.5 mm.
