before commissioning. Any damage must be
repaired before continuing with operation.
If the pump station is disconnected, the drive
must not be turned on (danger of finger
injuries).
The device must only be switched on to
pump liquids. In particular the pump must
not be in operation if the pump tube has
been removed from the container.
When the pump tube is removed from the
filling medium, make certain that a suitable
container is available for the residual liquid
that will flow out.
If the discharge hose is connected, fluid
may continue to run out even if the pump is
not in operation. To prevent this, the nozzle
must be closed and the end of the hose
must be positioned above the container
that is being filled.
The discharge tube must always be pointed
into the opening of the collecting container
while the pump is in operation.
Conversions or modifications to the device
are prohibited. Use only the manufacturer's
original spare parts and accessories.

1.3 Hazardous materials

If hazardous materials are used during opera-
tion or maintenance or while the device is
being cleaned observe the current safety data
sheets.
Devices that are contaminated with hazardous
materials must not be returned to the device
manufacturer for repairs.
2. Commissioning/operation
Danger of injury due to hazardous
materials! Always wait to switch on the
device until it is correctly mounted in the

safety precautions have been taken.
The pump must be switched off during mount-
ing. Follow these steps:
