Positioning and connecting the tank
Position and align the tank as described in the transport instruction.
Connect the inlet and outlet pipe.
Install the lip seals, upper sections and cover plates to ensure protection during the construction period. Ensure that the
upper section is level with the planned ground level.
Wastewater pipes and fittings made of the following materials may be connected to the inlet and outlet of the separator:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC-U)
Polyethylene (PE)
Polypropylene (PP)
The following technical instructions must be followed:
The inlet and outlet must be laid with gravity flow.
The inlet and outlet pipes must be laid at a frost-free depth.
The inlet pipe should be connected to the downpipe with two 45° bends. A stilling section with length equal to approx. 10
times the diameter of the inlet pipe should be included in the design.
The inlet pipe must be routed additionally above the roof as a ventilation pipe. If the inlet pipe is laid over more than 10m
(horizontally), a further ventilation pipe must be attached near the separator.
Do not make any additional connections to the tank.
Perform a leak test on the connections before back filling the excavations.
4.6
Installing the upper sections
Insert the lip seal into the opening.
Grease the surface with contact with the upper section
(sealing lip).
Determine the required installation height above ground
level. Insert the vertically adjustable upper section provi-
sionally, and fix it with a clamping ring. The clamping ring
may lie against the lip seal on the outside.
Check whether the required clearance between the upper
section and the inlet and outlet structure is as required/
sufficient (see figure to the right).
If not, dismantle and shorten the upper section; note
the minimum insertion depth of the upper section. If the
upper section has been shortened, chamfer the end of
the upper section (15°, 20mm).
Re-install the upper section if necessary.
Use a cover plate, as it serves as protection during the
construction period.
