IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

For safety purposes you should read these instructions carefully before using the appliance
for the fi rst time. Save these instructions for future reference.
The appliance is designed for domestic use and internal use only and may only be
operated in accordance with these instructions of use.
The appliance generates high temperature steam. Always handle with caution and warn
other users of potential danger.
DO'S
1. Check that the mains voltage stated on the rating plate corresponds to the local electricity
supply.
2. Unwind and straighten the supply cord before use.
3. Place and use the appliance on a fl at and steady surface.
4. Avoid the supply cord touch the soleplate.
5. The plug of the supply cord must be removed from the socket-outlet before the water
reservoir is fi lled with water.
6. Never pull off the cable to disconnect it from the socket. Instead, unplug by pulling the
plug from the socket.
7. Keep electrical appliances out of the reach of children or infi rm persons. Do not let them
use the appliance without supervision.
8. Empty the water tank after use.
DON' Ts
1. Do not allow children touch the appliance when ironing.
2. Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to a mains supply outlet.
3. Do not use an extension power cord, unless it is 10A.
4. Do not add perfumed, vinegar or other chemical liquids into the water tank; they can damage
the appliance seriously.
5. Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
6. Do not use the appliance when it is damaged or performs abnormally. The iron is not to be
used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking. If the cord
or any other part is damaged, you must immediately stop the use of the appliance and you
should contact any Singer Service Center.
7. Do not touch the soleplate during or just after ironing. It is hot!
8. Do not warp the supply cord around the appliance or the soleplate for storage, until it has
cooled down completely.
9. Do not attempt to open the appliance or dismantle any parts from the appliance. You should
contact any Singer Service Center.
- The partial or total non-respect of the safety instructions in the present instruction manual
will automatically release Singer of any type of responsibility in case of malfunction of the
machine or injuries to persons or animals.
- In case of manipulation, repairing or any modifi cation of the machine made by unqualifi ed
persons or in case of improper use, the guarantee will be automatically cancelled.
