9. Putting into Operation and Use

Only put the disco set into operation when you have become familiar with its features and these
operating instructions. Check again that all connections are correct. Do not put the product into
operation if it is damaged.
The amplifier should always be the last to be turned on and the first to be turned off. This way
you can prevent any undesired noise (which typically occurs when switching off a mixer) that
may damage the disco set.
Make sure that the connected devices are not overloaded. The sound should never be distorted.
If distorted music signals can be heard although the volume was not set too high, switch off the
disco set immediately and check the connection. If the connection is correct, please contact a
specialist.
The disco set may only be operated by persons familiar with the operating instructions. Keep
the disco set away from other persons or children.
Turn the controls LEVEL (1) and LEVEL (3) down completely (to the left).
Switch on the connected mixer and start the playback.
Turn the disco set on with the POWER switch (1).
Adjust the volume on the mixer to about 75% of the maximum volume or to the maximum undistorted level (visible
on devices with recording level displays and the „0 dB" marking).
Now adjust the volume of the disco set with the LEVEL 1 (2) and LEVEL 2 (3) controls to the maximum volume
needed. LEVEL 1 (2) influences the volume of the left channel, LEVEL 2 (3) that of the right one.
This setting enables a high signal-to-noise ratio and provides the best audio quality.
Make sure not to overload the disco set. Excess volume may damage the system.
After this basic setting, the volume is set using only the volume control on the mixer. The set-up procedure needs
to be repeated with every change to the circuit.
To switch the system off, first switch off the disco set with the POWER switch (1) and then switch off the mixer.
