4. Safety Information
In case of damage caused by non-compliance with these safety instructions the warranty /
guarantee will become void. We do not assume any responsibility for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper
use or failure to observe the safety notices. In such cases the warranty/guarantee is voided.
Dear Customer, the following safety notices are intended not only for the protection of the device but also
for the protection of your health. Please read the following points carefully:
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• All persons who operate this disco set, install it, assemble it, put it into operation or service it must
be trained and qualified correspondingly and must observe this operating manual.
• The structure of the amplifier complies with safety class II. Only a proper main outlet
(220-240V~/50-60Hz) of the public supply net may be used as voltage source.
• Set up the disco set properly before operating it. Please also follow these operating instructions.
• Make sure that the amplifier cable is not jammed, bent or damaged by sharp edges or otherwise
mechanically stressed. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable through extreme heat or
cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise, the mains cable could be damaged. A damaged
mains unit can result in a life-threatening electric shock.
• If the mains cable is damaged, do not touch it. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g.
via the circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug out of the mains socket carefully. Never use the
amplifier if the mains cable is damaged.
• In order to completely separate the amplifier from the mains, you have to pull the mains plug out of
the wall socket. It is not sufficient to turn the amplifier off with the on/off switch.
• The disco set is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children! Children cannot judge the
dangers involved when handling electrical devices.
• Never pour liquids on electrical devices and do not place any containers filled with liquids (e.g. vases)
on them. This would cause a serious danger of fire or electric shock. If this is the case, first power
down the respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains cable from the
socket. Disconnect all cables from the device. After that, the product must no longer be used; take
it to a specialist workshop.
