10. Maintenance

Check the technical safety of the active disco set regularly, e.g. check for damage to the power cable or the housing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the disco set must be turned off and precautions are
to be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Pull the power plug out of the power socket!
It must be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• there is visible damage to the disco set or to the power line
• the disco set does no longer work
• the device has been stored for a long time under unfavourable conditions or
• after the device has been exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Make sure you observe the following safety instructions before cleaning or servicing the disco set:
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations may
perform repairs.
If fuses have to be changed, make sure that they are replaced only with fuses of the same type and rated current (refer
to the Technical Data).
Never repair fuses or bridge the fuse holder.
• After disconnecting the appliance from the power source (by pulling plug out!), turn the cap on the fuse holder
(6) above the mains connection until it comes out and then remove the defective fuse.
• Remove the defective fuse and replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now carefully screw the fuse holder (6) with the replaced fuse back into the socket at the amplifier.
• Only then should you plug the appliance back into the mains socket.
Cleaning
The outside of the disco set components should only be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth or a brush. You can clean off
the carpet cover of the speakers casing with a vacuum cleaner.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions as these may damage the surface of the casing.
