7. Set-Up

When selecting the installation location for your device, avoid direct sunlight, vibration, dust,
hot and cold temperatures and dampness. Keep the disco set away from strong transformers
or motors.
When setting it up with other equipment, make sure that the device is well ventilated. Keep a
sufficient distance to heat sources. Do not place the disco set directly next to heat sources, e.g.
radiators. Do not point any strong spotlights or light sources towards the disco set. This may
lead to overheating (risk of fire!).
Heat removal from the device must not be obstructed. Do not cover the ventilation openings of
the device. Air circulation must not be obstructed by objects such as magazines, table cloths,
curtains or similar. This prevents heat dissipation from the device and can lead to overheating
(risk of fire!).
Do not drill any additional holes or screw any additional screws into the amplifier or speaker
housing, since this could make contact to dangerous voltages possible.
Make sure that the connection cables are not squeezed or damaged by sharp edges. Always
install the cables so that no one will trip over them or get caught in them. Risk of injury!
The cables must be of sufficient length. Avoid mechanical strain on the cables. This may
damage the cables or the disco set. There is the risk of a fatal electric shock.
Do not place the speakers in the direct vicinity of TV sets or computer monitors. The magnetic
fields generated by the speakers may distort the image.
Only operate the disco set on a sturdy surface that is not sensitive to high temperatures.
When setting up the speakers, make sure that they are on a stable footing and that you find a
correspondingly stable set-up surface. Serious injury to persons can be caused if the speakers
fall down.
It is not permitted to suspend the speakers from the carrying handles or any other fittings.
Put up the amplifier so that the audio source (CD player, mixer, etc.) and the speakers can be reached with their
connection lines.
Put up the speakers so that they are across from the listeners and in a line as far as possible. This will prevent
sound problems.
