During the cleaning process the display
shows the following indications alter-
nately:
«CLEANING 1
<1-6>»:
•
The program carries out 5 cleaning
cycles. The pauses enable the cleaning
solution to take effect. The cleaning
cycles are counted off in the display.
PROCESS»

«IN
The bar indication in the bottom line
increases with the advance of the
pause duration.
In the event of a power failure or
interruption, the program must be
restarted!
The cleaning process takes ca.
8 minutes. Then the following is shown
in the display:
«PUSH IN WASTE CONTAINER»
•
Replace the container.
•
«WAIT»
The brewing unit is positioned.
«WASTE CONTAINER UNDER OUTLET»
•
Place the waste container under the
outlet again.
«PRESS OK. CLEANING 6 <1-6>»
•
Rinsing phase.
EMPTY WASTE CONTAINER -
• «
PRESS
OK»
Empty and replace the container. Then
press the „OK" key (Fig. 3, g).
«WAIT»
«REFILL WATER – PRESS

Remove the water tank, refill water
and replace. Then press the „OK" key
(Fig. 3, g).

When this message appears, the clean-
ing program is ended.
Turn the bean container to the desired
position. The machine is now ready for
use and in the status of the last
selected coffee mode.
After running the cleaning program,
you are advised to throw away the first
cup of coffee from the machine.
13.7 Running the descaling programme
The descaling programme allows a
simple and effective descaling of the
appliance. You should descale the
appliance at regular intervals, latest,
however when you are informed by the
display indication "CARRY OUT DESCA-
LING". The descaling process is carried
out in 2 phases, takes several minutes and
should not be interrupted.
The frequency of descaling depends on
how hard the water is in your region.
Please do not forget to find out the water
hardness and adjust the corresponding
hardness degree on the appliance. Please
read chapter "Determining and adjusting
the water hardness".
Use only limescale removal products
recommendes by FAGOR. You may obtain
them from our authorised distributor
network or through our customer care
helpline.
Method phase 1: descaling
1. Press button f "Menu ". Subsequently
press button c "Scroll " or button d "Scroll
" until the menu point "DESCALE" ppears.
2. Confirm the menu point with button g
"OK ". If you press button g "OK " once
more you will receive instructions via the
display how you have to prepare the
descaling. Follow the instructions on
the display:

• REFILL <250ml> WATER changes with 125ml
DESCALER IN WATERTANK – PRESS OK.
3. Pull out the water tank. Put 125ml
descaler agent into the water tank. Then
add 250ml water into the water tank by
filling the empty descaler bottle twice
with fresh water (see Illustration ). Replace
the water reservoir – press button g "ok ",
the descaling program starts. Fig. 34
