Warning! Before performing any maintenance or
cleaning operations, stop lawn tractor and remove
starter key.
Note: Wait until engine cools before cleaning.
Refer to the instruction booklet provided by engine
manufacturer for all engine maintenance.
Warning! ! In order to avoid injury, we
recommend wearing protective gloves and goggles
during maintenance.
8.1 - CLEANING THE UNDERSIDE
Two connectors for cleaning the underside of deck are
provided on the upperside casings of the mowing deck.
After stopping engine and engaging park brake, connect
coupling (18) on the deck to a water hose (Fig. 8.1).
Turn on water, start engine (Fig. 8.2) following start-up
instructions in the previous chapter.
Engage blades by moving lever (10) and allow it run for a few
minutes until clean.
Turn off water and repeat the same cleaning instructions
connecting to other side.
8.2 - REFUELING
Warning! Before refuelling, turn off engine and
remove starter key.
Remove fuel cap (15) and fill tank with UNLEADED petrol.
Only use petrol cans conforming to current legislation.
Important! Only refuel outdoors and when engine is cool.
Do not fill tank completely, and in the event of a petrol spill,
be sure to clean affected area.
NEVER SMOKE WHILE REFUELING!
Refuel the machine on level ground to allow dispersion of
possible electrostatic discharge.

8.3 OIL LEVEL

Before using always check oil level (Fig. 8.4).
Top-up to maximum level (Fig. 8.5).
For all other engine maintenance (oil change, type of oil, air
filter, etc....) consult the engine manual.
8.4 – ADJUSTING STEERING CABLE
If necessary, you can adjust play in the steering by using the
cable adjusting screws.
To accurately adjust cables, you need to adjust the forward
adjustment screws (Fig. 8.6) to the same length, slacken the
check nuts (Fig. 8.7), then adjust the two rear screws to
recover the play. When completed, retighten the two check
nuts.
8.5 – ADJUSTING REAR TOE-IN
Toe-in can only be reset on rear wheels.
Position tractor on a flat surface and engage park brake. Turn
off engine and remove starter key.
Turn steering wheel to align the two rear wheels lengthwise
with the two front wheels.
Move to rear of the tractor, remove rear protection grill, and
release the two check nuts (Fig. 8.8).
Adjust the two command arms by increasing or decreasing
distance between the two pivots as shown (Fig. 8.8), when the
front and rear wheels are correctly aligned, attention must be
given to keep wheels perfectly parallel.
NOTE: the length of the two arms must be the same.
8.6 – BATTERY MAINTENANCE
Always keep battery charged and clean.
If the terminal clamps show sign of corrosion, clean them with
a solution of four parts water and one part sodium
bicarbonate (baking soda) then lightly grease the battery
terminals to prevent corrosion.
Battery specification is as follows:
- 12 V
- 17 A/h

Warning! The adjustments must be made to the same
point as the play recovered when steering right must
be the same as that when steering left. Fig. 8.6.
