7.4 - STARTING
Warning! Before starting tractor and beginning to
mow the lawn, make sure that there are no obstacles

in the area that could damage the tractor or that
could be accidentally thrown out while working.
Also make sure that people, children or animals are a safe
distance away from the work area.
Warning! Before beginning, check oil level in engine
(Fig. 7.4). Top-up oil if necessary, consulting engine
user and maintenance manual provided.
Before starting engine, the following points must be observed:

operator to be seated on the seat
-
pedals must all be released
-
mowing deck must be in its raised position (see Ch. 7.3)
-
PTO must be disengaged (PTO control level – located
behind)
-
park brake (6) must be engaged
-
throttle (7) must be in the START position
-
collector (11) must be in the closed position.
-
cutting height should have been adjusted
Having checked the above, engine can now be started using
the key
Once engine is running, increase RPMs moving throttle lever
(7) towards symbol of the hare. Fig. 7.4
Release the emergency brake (6) slightly moving the lever
inward and then onward.
With mowing deck raised, press pedal (3 – forward travel) or
(4 – reverse travel) until you reach the desired area.
Important! Travel pedals (3 – 4) must be pressed gradually in
order to avoid unexpected and dangerous jolts.
7.4.1 - MOWING
After following instructions and procedures above, you can
now begin mowing.
Once you reach work area, keeping the engine running,
lower deck by pressing pedal (1) then gradually release the
same pedal. Locking lever (2) will release automatically.

Engage the blades using the PTO lever (10) and begin
mowing.
When the collector is full, an audible bleep controlled by the
micro-switch (12) located inside collector will signal it is time
to empty collector.
In order to empty grass collector, you must:

Once these instructions are completed, hold the collector
emptying lever (9) and lift it slightly until you hear collector
unit release. Push entire unit to the end of its travel, and then,
still lifting the same lever, tilt collector until all grass has been
emptied Fig. 7.7 – 7.8).
Then reposition collector unit on tractor and restart. Continue
working, following previous instructions.
When work period is finished, and prior to storage thoroughly
clean the lawn tractor: by doing so the machine will always be
in good condition and ready to give performance expected
(refer to chapter 8 "Maintenance"). Fig. 7.6
