Holder by removing
Replace the Charcoal Filter every 2 months, or 60
tank refills, more if you have hard water.
To order replacement Charcoal Filters, call Breville
Customer Service on 1-866-BREVILLE or visit
www.breville.com.
We recommend removing the Water Filter if you
choose not to replace the Charcoal Filter every 2
months, as the filter may clog and affect the smell
and taste of the water.
Descaling the brewer
Mineral content in water varies from place to place.
Depending on the mineral content of the water in
your area, calcium deposits or scale may build up in
your Brewer. Scale is non-toxic, but left unattended, it
can hinder the Brewer's performance. Descaling your
Brewer helps maintain the heating element, and
other internal parts of the Brewer that come in
contact with water.
The Brewer should be descaled every 3-6 months to
ensure optimal performance. It is possible for calcium
deposits to build up faster, making it necessary to
descale more often.
This Brewer is equipped with sensors to detect when
scale buildup is interfering with the performance of
Note
the Brewer. When this is detected, the LCD screen
will indicate 'DESCALE'.
