Cleaning/Maintenance
Have work that is not described
in these instructions carried out
by a customer service centre
that we have authorised. Use
only original parts.
Switch off the device, remove the
safety key and remove the re-
chargeable battery from the device,
after all tasks.
General Cleaning and Mainte-
nance Work
Do not jet water onto the appli-
ance and do not clean it under
flowing water. This would result
in the danger of an electric
shock and the trimmer could be
damaged.
•
Keep the ventilation channels, motor
housing and handles of the machine
clean. Use a damp cloth or a brush to
clean them.
Do not use any cleaning agent or sol-
vent. This could damage the machine
irreparably.
•
Clean the ejector chute and the auger
of any snow residues after each use.
•
Prior to every use, check the appli-
ance for obvious defects such as
loose, worn or damaged parts. Check
that all nuts, bolts and screws are sit-
ting firmly.
•
Check the covers and protective de-
vices for damage and check that they
are sitting correctly. Replace them if
necessary.
Replace the snow shovel's
edge
1. Turn the machine on its side.
2. Release the 4 cross-head
screws (14a) on the snow shov-
el's edge (14) and replace them.
3. Insert the new snow shovel
edge (14) and screw it again.
Replace rubber rim on the
auger
1. Grasp the upper grip handle
(
1) and tilt the device back.
2. Release the 12 cross-head
screws, washers and nuts (32a)
on the 6-part rubber rim (32)
and remove them from the au-
ger (15).
3. Insert the new rubber rims (32)
on the auger (15) and re-tighten
them.
Storage
•
Leave the machine to thaw and dry
before you store it.
•
Keep the equipment dry and out of
reach of children.
•
Do not wrap plastic sacks around the
appliance as this could result in the
formation of moisture and mould.
•
Remove the rechargeable battery from
the device before storing the device.
•
Store the battery only in a partially
charged state. The state of charge
should be 30 – 50 % over a longer
storage period (Displayed charge sta-
tus
).
•
During a longer storage period, check
the state of charge of the battery and
recharge if necessary roughly every
3 months.
