Attention! During operation,
this electric tool generates an
electromagnetic field which,
under certain circumstances,
may impair the functionality
of active or passive medical
implants. To reduce the risk
of serious or lethal injuries,
we recommend that per-
sons with medical implants
consult their doctor and the
manufacturer of their medical
implant before operating the
machine.
Caution! When using power
tools, observe the following
basic safety measures for
the prevention of electric
shocks and the risk of injury
and fire:
Preparation:
•
Do not allow the use of this
equipment by children or others
who are unfamiliar with these
operating instructions. Local
regulations may specify the
minimum age of the operator.
•
Do not use the equipment
when people and particularly
children or pets are nearby.
•
The operator or user is respon-
sible for accidents, injuries to
other people or damage to the
property of others.
•
Check the terrain on which the
equipment is to be used and
remove stones, sticks, wires
and other foreign objects that
could become caught and
thrown up.
•
When working, wear closely fit-
ting winter clothing, gloves and
sturdy shoes with a non-slip
sole. Do not wear loose cloth-
ing or clothes that straps or
belts suspend from. There is a
risk of personal injury.
•
Always wear eye and hearing
protection when you are work-
ing or making any adjustments
or repairs. There is a risk that
foreign bodies can be thrown
into your eyes.
•
Adjust the machine to the out-
side temperature before you
start removing the snow.
•
Do not make any settings to
the machine while it is in op-
eration (except those recom-
mended by the manufacturer).
•
Only operate the machine, if it
is in a perfect and safe condi-
tion. Never disable any safety
guard, e.g. do not tie the start
handle. Many accidents are the
result of poorly maintained ma-
chinery.
•
Use only spare parts and ac-
cessories supplied and recom-
mended by the manufacturer.
The use of non-original parts
will immediately invalidate the
guarantee.
•
Prior to use, always check the
cord and extension cord for
signs of damage or wear. Im-
