Clear snow when it is loose, freshly
fallen, as the layer of snow can turn to
ice later, making the work more difficult.
•
Do not use the machine with snow that
is very hard and frozen. The rubber
covering of the auger could be dam-
aged.
•
Clear the snow in the wind direction as
far as possible.
•
Switch the machine off and tilt it, if you
have to cross a gravel path or sensitive
surfaces.
•

Allow the motor to run for a short period
of time after you have completed the
work so that any moisture is removed
and no moving parts can freeze.

Switching the light on and off
The light only works while the machine is in
operation.
1. To switch on the light (4), place
the on/off switch (3) in position "I".
2. To switch off the light (4), place
the on/off switch (3) in position
"0".
Removing obstructions and
blockages
Attention! Shut off motor before
unclogging discharge chute.

Before any maintenance and
cleaning works are carried out:
Switch the machine off, disconnect
the power lead and ensure that
all movable parts have stopped
moving. There is a risk of personal
injury.
General Cleaning and Mainte-
nance Work
Do not jet water onto the appli-
ance and do not clean it under
flowing water. This would result
in the danger of an electric
shock and the trimmer could be
damaged.

Keep the ventilation channels, motor
housing and handles of the machine
clean. Use a damp cloth or a brush to
clean them.
Do not use any cleaning agent or sol-
vent. This could damage the machine
irreparably.
•
Clean the ejector chute and the auger
of any snow residues after each use.
•
Prior to every use, check the appli-
ance for obvious defects such as
loose, worn or damaged parts. Check
that all nuts, bolts and screws are sit-
ting firmly.
