14. Troubleshooting
Problem
The product does not turn on. The
panel on the display is empty.
The product does not heat up.
The product does not begin
cooking.
The glass rotating plate does not
rotate properly.
Rotating the glass rotating plate
makes a scraping or dragging
sound.
There is smoke or fire in the
cooking chamber.
Radio and TV reception are
impaired while the microwave is in
operation.
All buttons and the dial Zeit/Menü
(time/menu) do not function.
The lighting in the cooking
chamber is defective.
The view window mists up.
Hot air escapes from the openings
of devices.

Possible cause and solution
The plug is not properly connected to the wall outlet. Disconnect the plug
from the wall socket and connect it again after 10 seconds.
The fuse has been triggered. Consult a specialist workshop.
The wall outlet is defective. Plug in the product to another household power
outlet.
The wall outlet is not functioning properly. Connect another device to the
wall outlet. If this appliance also does not turn on, contact a specialist
workshop.
The power cord is damaged. Consult a specialist workshop.
Close the door until it clicks into place.
Check to see if the door is damaged (see "8. Hazards posed by microwave
radiation" on page 37).
Check to see if you have set the kitchen timer.
Check the fit of the roller ring and glass rotating plate (see the section "b)
Inserting the glass rotating plate/grilling plate" on page 42).
Check to see if the glass rotating plate can rotate easily.
Clean the roller ring and the floor of the cooking chamber (see chapter "15.
Care and cleaning" on page 51).
Arrange the food or the container so that it does not protrude from the edge
of the glass rotating plate.
Turn off the device immediately and pull the power plug out of the power
outlet! Keep the door closed to smother any flames that may be inside.
Set up the devices further apart.
Release the child safety lock, see "o) Child Safety Lock" on page 49.
Consult a specialist workshop.
