• Never unplug the mains plug from the socket by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on the sides
of the plug.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains after use, before cleaning and for extended periods of disuse.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
• Always unplug the appliance when it is unattended.
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or subjected to
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold. Do
not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged mains cable can
cause a fatal electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket (e.g. via the
respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains socket. Never use the
product if the mains cable is damaged. Damaged mains cables must be replaced by the manufacturer,
an authorized repair centre or a qualified electrician.
• Never insert or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Always lay the mains cable so that nobody can trip over or become entangled in it. Risk of injury!
• The product is only voltage-free when the mains plug is pulled.

8. Hazards posed by microwave radiation

• Do not try to operate the product with the door open, as operation with the door open may result in the
emission of hazardous radiation.
• Do not make any changes to the security lock (or the door lock).
• Do not insert any objects into the openings of the appliance's safety lock.
• Do not place any objects between the appliance front and its door. The door's seal surfaces must not be
contaminated with food or detergent residue.
• The product must not be used if it is damaged. It is especially important that the door closes properly and
that no damage to the following parts is present:
- Door (bent)
- Door hinges and locks (broken or loose)
- Seal surfaces
• Do not remove any covers on the product.
• The product may be serviced or repaired by qualified personnel only.
• It is not permissible to turn on the device in microwave mode without food in the cooking chamber
(exception: hot-air operation with preheat function).
