b) Inserting the glass rotating plate/grilling plate
The glass rotating plate (1) rotates during operation to ensure the food is heated evenly.
Do not operate the product without the rotating attachment (10), the roller ring (11) and the glass rotating
plate. Place the grilling plate when used on the glass rotating plate.
• Place the roller ring in the recess on the floor of the cooking chamber.
• Place the glass rotating plate on the roller ring so that the recess of the glass rotating plate lies on the rotating
attachment.
• Make sure that the glass rotating plate rotates easily.
c) Connection
Never allow the product, the mains cable or the mains plug to come into contact with hot surfaces (such
as an oven). Do not use the product near open flames. Keep slightly flammable materials away from the
microwave.
Also observe the instructions in the chapter on safety instructions, section "Connecting the mains cable" on
page 36.
• Fully unwind the mains cable (8). Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
• A beep sounds. The display lights up and "WELCOME -- REFER TO INSTRUCTION BEFORE FIRST USE"
appears on the display. During the initial start-up operation mode, the dial Zeit/Menü (23) (time/menu) and all
buttons except the button Stopp/Sperre (22) (stop/lock) are assigned no function.
• Press the button Stopp/Sperre (stop/lock) to switch from initial start-up operation mode to standby mode (see
details under "Enable/disable standby mode" on page 44).
d) Basic operation
Open/close the door
• Pull the door handle (16) to open the door (14).
Opening the door during cooking interrupts operation.
• Close the door by the door handle until the latch (15) closes audibly.
Notification beeps
• One beep sounds when
- The microwave oven has confirmed the settings made.
- The microwave oven switches to the standby mode.
• Two beeps sound to indicate an invalid input/setting. Check the input and re-configure any settings.
• Four beeps sound when
- The cooking time has elapsed.
- Cooking in defrost operation and the automatic program is interrupted in order to rearrange or turn over foods.
