tion switches to the cool-down mode.
The machine then continues to run at approx. 2' 4 00
rpm and the elctronic constant-speed control is
deactivated. After a cool-down time of approx. 10-
20 s the machine is again ready for operation. turn
the machine OFF and back ON again to activate
the electronic constant-speed control. With the ma-
chine at operating temperature the temperature-
dependent overload protection reacts correspon-
dingly earlier.
Undervoltage / restarting protection
On short time power failure (pulled power plug,
instable power supply etc.) the machine will stop.
When the power voltage is restored, the machine
has to be turned OFF and then back ON again.
Once this has been done the machine is again
ready for operation.

Recommended working position
The smaller the belt, the easier it can slip from the
contact wheel.
To avoid this, we recommend
- to dose the working pressure with the contact
wheel 14.
- to operate belt grinder on the pulling side 18.
Change of belts and contact arms
• Before changing, disconnect the tool from
power source.
• Align contact arm 15 with Nut 8 or 9.
• Mount belt 16 on contact wheel, press contact
arm firmly against flat object, observe direc-
tion of arrow for correct belt travel and rest on
drive wheel 7.
• Pull belt through by hand., adjust tracking with
screw 8 or 9 to stop from wandering off from
contact wheel 14. Switch on grinder, selecting
Pos 1 on variable speed selector. Make fine
adjustments, then set with Lock-in srew 10.
Additional Adaptation possibilities
Change of belt tracking axle towards motorspindle
Loosen with Hex wrench 4 Allen screw 3. Adjust
and retighten.
Adjusting tension
Thin and small belts need less tension. this can
be adjusted by removing the attachment - (loosen
screw 3 with Allen wrench 4 ) and set tension with
set screw 11 and wrench 4 to optimize grinding.
Adjust torsion play on the longitudinal axis of the
contact arm
With srew 12 and counter lock nut 13.
